Thank you for your interest in the Romance Invades the Canadian Rockies staff sign-up! We are so excited for the 2027 signing event and cannot wait to work with our fantastic team of staff and volunteers.

We will have a variety of roles available, some of which may require standing for extended periods of time, so please keep this in mind when completing the questions below.

A few important notes:
- Signing up to volunteer does not guarantee selection
- Specific roles will be assigned closer to the event date
- Volunteers will be provided breakfast and lunch on the signing day
- Selected volunteers do not require a ticket to attend the event
- Full-day volunteers will have a dedicated volunteer signing time to get books signed
Role: You will assist in handing out the attendee bags and wristbands.
Role: Your job will be to manage the assigned author’s line. Communication via walkie-talkies will help keep the lines orderly.
Role: Your job will be monitoring the entry doorways to the event. If someone leaves please stamp them so they can regain entry to the event.
Role: You will assist throughout the day on the signing floor with anything an author or their assistant may need, such as providing bathroom breaks or bringing drinks. You may also be asked to help with line control to give another volunteer a break.
Role: You will be available for any author that does not have their own assistant with them. You will assist with whatever they need help with, e.g. preparing books for signing, finding pre-orders, etc.
Role: Your role will be to announce author numbers for ticketed authors via the microphone.
Role: Your role will be to help record and keep track of the author’s ticketed numbers and inform the announcer of when to notify attendees when groups can enter respective lines.
